Breaking News from the Tomahawk Tribe

The Tomahawk tribe has re-named itself the Lenape tribe.  We decided that in order to be more authentic, we would name ourselves after a group of Indians, rather than an inanimate object.  For those of you who may not know, the Lenape were a peaceful tribe residing in the Schuylkill Valley and spreading west as far as Carlisle or so.  The Europeans called them the Delaware.

We reserve the right to use the Tomahawk chant, chop, and associated movements at Nation events such as Pow-Wows and Comanche roasts.  However, Lenape has the same number of syllables as Tomahawk, so you'll have to stay tuned to see what we'll actually do.

If anyone is interested in earning a Little Brave award for a visit to another tribe and associated scouting report, you of course are welcome to our events at any time.  However, our next tribal event might be a particularly interesting time to attend.  We will be meeting at Climbnasium on February 17th for indoor climbing and hope to have some scouting reports on our tribe's new name.  Send me an email if any of your tribes' Braves would like to attend and I can give them details.
